On some applications of Generalized Geometric Projection to optimal 3D printing

چکیده

In recent years, Topology Optimization (TO) gained interest in the scientific community. It assists finding best arrangement of material a design volume. The classical approach named ”Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization” (SIMP) associates fictitious density to each finite element domain. While SIMP is described as an implicit which can lead problems dimensionality variables, explicit methods adopt geometric projection simple elements (eg.: bars) reduce number variables. This simplifies interpretation optimal architecture. major were recently unified into general framework, Generalized Geometric Projection (GGP).
